Great article…and I didn’t think anyone could have walked further that day than we did! I’m so glad you got to see the First Family up close…what a great shot. And you really caught the spirit of the day. People were mostly good humored, even as they wandered through the streets looking for a place to sit, warm up and/or eat. After the ceremony we were out there for another three hours before finally finding a pub with only a one-hour wait. An hour into our trek we asked an officer for some advice. As we left, a woman approached him and asked, Can I ask you a stupid question? Officer: There are no stupid questions. Woman: Are those real bullets in your gun? Officer: They sure are. Woman: Good. Then you just shoot me now!?!
