Our two-week trip was on the G Adventures Wonders of Brazil tour which costs between $2,150-$2,500 and includes all transport (flights/buses/ferries), accommodation, entrance tickets, guides, and a few meals. On top of that we spent another few hundred dollars between the two of us on food, drink and extra activities like the boat trip at Iguazu falls, snorkeling, etc. Hope that information helps and have a great trip!

Curiously I was thinking about doing a very similar trip! More or less 2 weeks as well, same places, except I’m also going to be in Arraial do Cabo, close to Rio.

I’m curious what was your budget for this trip?

We always have some reservations about tours in marginalized communities, but we were quite impressed by the community-oriented approach in the Vidigal Favela tour. Inclusivity of all types of communities is so important so that travelers can also understand the complex socio-economic context and history.

And yes, sometimes a place is just screaming out for a “cheesy photo”!

Thank you for also sharing the details of the favela tour done in a mindful and socially conscious way.
And thanks for including a “cheesy on the steps photo too” so cheesy people like me feel more “normal.” haha. 🙂

So glad you are still traveling, blogging and sharing your stories.
Big hugs
Kristin
